Queen Mary University of London has announced scholarships under Pakistan Capacity Building Scholarships, whereby full tuition fees for full time PhD study will be offered for varied fields including Biological & Chemical Sciences, Computer Sc, Electonic Engg, Mathematical Science, Physics etc.
Following are eligible for said programme :
- Applicants must be Pakistani/AJK nationals who are currently studying or working at an institution recognised by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.
- Candidates must have a minimum of sixteen years of education (MSc, MA, MBA, ME, MS, B.E / BSc (Engg), M.B.B.S or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Students with MS level qualifications and research experience will be at an advantage.
- Candidates should have graduated within the last 2 years.
- Candidates should have first division marks throughout their academic career.
- Candidates must meet Queen Mary’s standard English requirements - IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
- Candidates must be able to support themselves financially either through personal finance or through support from their institution. UKBA guidelines state that living expenses in central London are £9,600 per year.
Last date for applications is 1st June 2011.

Applicants are advised to select their preferred postgraduate programme of study prior to commencing their application. You can browse through a full list of our research degrees. The online application forms can be found on the individual degree pages within the A-Z of postgraduate programmes.
Once you have made a decision regarding which programme you wish to apply for please use the relevant link under the 'Apply online' heading to the right of the programme description, which will take you directly to the online application form for your preferred programme. In the fees and funding section of the application form please specify that you would like to be considered for a Capacity Building Scholarship.
