The HEC established a National Committee on Examination Systems (NCES) in 2004 to review the existing examination policies, analyze weaknesses and propose improvements. The Committee has developed ‘Policy Guidelines for Semester System’ to encourage universities/degree awarding institutions to gradually shift to the new system of examination.
The Guidelines have been circulated to all public sector universities for feedback. Simultaneously the Learning Innovation Division of HEC has conducted various seminars and workshops and trained around 400 university/DAI faculty members for better implementation of teaching/learning process.
